Xineo Chart Maker is able to generate aiport charts in the PDF format, starting from XML files following the schema specified in the "BGL Comp SDK" from Microsoft, which is available from this vendor's web site.
PDF files may me viewed and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader which is available from Adobe's web site, or with any other software that can deal with this format. Here is a sample document generated by Chart Maker.
Although Chart Maker should be able to process hand-made XML files, knowledge of XML and of this specific schema is not required, and most users will use XML files that are automatically generated from Flight Simulator's BGL files, for example using BGLXML, which is freely available from Central Park Informatica.
Installation
Chart Maker can run on any system supporting the Java platform, including MS-Windows, MacOS and Linux. The Java Runtime Envrionment (JRE) version 1.4.2 or higher must be installed, and is available free of charge at www.java.com.
To install, download the file below, and unzip the package in the directory of your choice. Double-click on "install.jar", and follow the instructions of the install program. Consult "Install.html" for more details.

Xineo Chart Maker is usable and distributable free of charge, but it is not authorized to use this software or the documents generated from it for commercial or military purposes.
